The position provides leadership, service and support in all areas of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Education in the Diocese of Darwin.

<p><b>FULL-TIME | SALARY RANGE $120,000 - $140,858 P.A. PLUS SUPER </b></p> <p><b>INITIAL 3 YEAR CONTRACT | COMMENCEMENT DATE – 15 JANUARY 2024 </b></p> <p>An exciting opportunity exists for a Manager – Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education (Engagement and Workforce Development) working with urban, regional and remote schools in the Northern Territory. The position is based at the Catholic Education Office, Berrimah.<br></p> <p>The position provides leadership, service and support in all areas of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Education in the Diocese of Darwin.</p> <p><b>Key responsibilities: </b></p> <p>• Work with schools to ensure all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff have a job description that is cognisant with their current skill set.</p> <p>• Work with all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff to develop a personal plan for upskilling/improvement.</p> <p>• Support the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Workforce co-ordinators in each of the ACCS (Aboriginal Catholic Community Schools), manage the AIEW (Aboriginal &amp; Torres Strait Islander Education Worker), network (urban &amp; regional) and co-ordinate their quarterly meetings.</p> <p>• Work with the Catholic Aboriginal Leadership Team (CALT) to enhance the leadership and managerial skills of CALT members.</p> <p>• Assist schools in the provision of culturally appropriate support materials and strategies for the education of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff.</p> <p>• Provide and support ongoing Cultural Enrichment Programs and be responsible for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Induction program for all CENT employees.</p> <p>• Work with the local ACCS communities at each school to deliver appropriate induction programs for all new Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff that is sensitive to their cultural and educational background.</p> <p>• Provide mentoring support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Support Workers.</p> <p>This position will involve working with children.
