With over 5000 passionate employees located across 83 primary and secondary schools, we have the intent and the resources to transform the learning and unlock the full potential of each of our 40,000 plus students.</p> <p dir="ltr">We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Laboratory Assistant to provide support and assistance to our Science teachers on a temporary basis for one year, commencing 2024.</p> <p dir="ltr">The Laboratory Assistant is accountable for:</p> <p dir="ltr">-Demonstrated ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team</p> <p dir="ltr">-Demonstrated ability to follow direction, prioritise and meet set deadlines</p> <p dir="ltr">-Demonstrated interpersonal skills in working with a range of personnel</p> <p dir="ltr">-Strong planning and organisation skills</p> <p dir="ltr">-Demonstrated ability to maintain the quality of assigned work</p> <p dir="ltr">-Preparation of practical work for use in the classroom, including general and complex laboratory experiments</p> <p dir="ltr">-Preparing simple chemical solutions and, under instruction, more complicated<br>solutions</p> <p dir="ltr">-Developing and using appropriate storage systems, including for dangerous and toxic substances consistent with material safety data sheets</p> <p dir="ltr">Typical Experience and Qualifications</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Tertiary qualifications in the relevant area of study</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Appropriate demonstrated experience.&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">Interested?</p> <p dir="ltr">Please include copies of academic transcripts and certificates when submitting your application.&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr">This position involves working with children.
