The Leader of Teaching and Learning coordinates the provision of service and support for secondary, primary and aboriginal Catholic community schools aligned with identified sector and schools’ strategic priorities.

<p><b>FULL-TIME | SALARY RANGE $146,654 P.A. PLUS 11% SUPER | INITIAL 3-YEAR CONTRACT</b></p><p><b>The Company: </b></p><p>Catholic Education in the Northern Territory is a network of schools built on Christian values and on the history and traditions of this land across Australia&#39;s top end. Catholic Education has a network of 18 Catholic schools in the Northern Territory - five colleges, seven primary schools, one flexible learning centre and five remote schools. </p><p><b>Position Summary: </b></p><p>The Leader of Teaching and Learning coordinates the provision of service and support for secondary, primary and aboriginal Catholic community schools aligned with identified sector and schools’ strategic priorities. They are responsible for leading and managing the Teaching and Learning Team of Education Officers to facilitate professional learning, professional networks and support coordination of systemic initiatives and projects. </p><p><b>Essential Criteria </b></p><p>• Comprehensive knowledge of current trends and practices in education, curriculum, planning and programming, assessment, reporting, pedagogy and inclusion </p><p>• Committed to the ethos and mission of Catholic Education </p><p>• Demonstrated skills in effective leadership and management </p><p>• Excellent communication skills </p><p>• Demonstrated capacity to engage and work collaboratively with school and system leaders to improve student outcomes </p><p>• Demonstrated capacity to work independently and in teams, take initiative, manage competing needs, meet deadlines and complete tasks/projects. </p><p>• Sound knowledge of CENT’s strategic planning processes </p><p>• Educational Leadership qualifications and experience </p><p><b>Desirable Criteria </b></p><p>• Senior Leadership experience </p><p>• An active member of a Catholic Eucharistic community </p><p>• Post graduate qualifications in education </p><p>• Knowledge of factors affecting Aboriginal education and attainment. </p><p><b>Full details are outlined in the position description (Within the Information Pack) </b></p><p>This position involves working with children.
