Schools with around 17,000 students from Kindergarten to Year 12.</p> <p><b>The Role </b></p> <p>The Learning Partner plays a significant role in providing subject matter expertise to support school leaders and teachers in building differentiated learning cultures, ensuring teaching quality, and student engagement and learning across CSBB schools.</p> <p>The role focuses on building a cohesive system of support to improve outcomes for students with diverse learning needs.</p> <p>This is a highly collaborative role within the Learner Diversity and Student Wellbeing team to build school-level capability to enhance access and participation of students with diverse learning needs within the school community aligned to the legislative disability requirements, including NCCD.</p> <p>As a specialised practitioner and coach, this role collaborates with school leadership and classroom teachers to create inclusive learning environments and ensure high quality education, through identification of students with disabilities, the provision of reasonable adjustments, and related monitoring/reviewing, communication and consultation.</p> <p>This role will commence at the start of Term 1, 30 January 2024.&nbsp;</p> <p></p> <p><b>Key Responsibilities: </b></p> <ul> <li>Supports school leadership in ensuring policies, processes and practices are effective in providing a contemporary approach to learner diversity and disability, and meet relevant legislative requirements, including NCCD</li> <li>Works with school leaders to develop teacher capability in making curriculum adjustments, implementing programs that meet the needs of students with disability and monitoring student progress</li> <li>Collates and analyses evidence required under the four areas outlined in the NCCD aligned to the annual census audits</li> <li>Supporting school leaders and teachers to build differentiated learning cultures, and to review, analyse and adjust teaching programs and practices to improve learning outcomes for diverse learners</li> <li>Support schools in developing data literacy to review and analyse school and student data to identify student needs</li> <li>Keeping abreast of the latest developments in learner diversity and across general learning and teaching</li> <li>Working in multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver the goals of our Towards 2025 Strategy</li> <li>Collaborates with schools and operational units across CSBB to implement requirements of relevant legislation and regulations</li> <li>Identifies opportunities for effective partnerships to support innovative and contemporary education</li> </ul> <p><b>About You </b></p> <ul> <li>You must be supportive of, or can demonstrate an understanding and commitment to, the ethos of the Catholic faith in an educational context</li> <li>Working understanding of NSW syllabus documents, with subject matter expertise in inclusive education or students with a disability</li> <li>Understanding of curriculum, the regulatory requirements, and current developments, related to quality teaching and the leadership in diverse learning and students with a disability</li> <li>Practical understanding of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers, the Australian Professional Standard for Principals, the Australian Teacher Performance and Development Framework, and the Australian Charter for Professional Learning of Teachers and School Leaders, and the National School Improvement Tool</li> <li>Knowledge of and experience in leading the NCCD to enhance inclusive school cultures</li> </ul> <p><b>Qualifications </b></p> <ul> <li>NESA approved undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Teaching or Education</li> <li>Postgraduate qualification in Learner Diversity, Disability or Inclusive Education</li> <li>Relevant professional accreditation</li> <li>Valid Working with Children Check</li> <li>Current NSW Driver’s Licence (and own car required)</li>
