<p>The Deputy Principal supports the Principal as professional administrator and educational leader, working collaboratively to develop the Catholic identity of the school and to strategically plan for school improvement. Other leadership position/s and/or classroom duties within the school will be negotiated with the successful candidate. </p><p>The Deputy&#39;s role is multi-faceted, requiring highly developed skills in the areas of communication, policy knowledge, curriculum and administration. The Deputy Principal often represents the Principal within and for the school community. The role of Deputy Principal plays an important part in the school&#39;s endeavour to realise its mission and vision. The role is one of leadership, witness, guidance and service. </p><p>The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a proven record of leadership in faith development, relationship building, student wellbeing and learning and teaching. </p><p>St. Mary’s is a child safe environment and all staff members are expected to be knowledgeable of the current Child-Safe requirements. This community is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care. </p><p>The appointment is for three-years and in accordance with CECV policy. </p><p>Special Requirements </p><p>Applicants must have: </p><p>Recent success and experience in a senior leadership position in a Catholic school which may include Deputy Principal, Learning and Teaching, Student Wellbeing or Technology Leader </p><p>Accreditation to teach in and to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School is essential </p><p>Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching, inclusive of a Police check is essential </p><p>Additional qualifications in Leadership or Information Technology would be highly regarded. </p><p>Commitment to the principles of RTI and SWPBS </p><p><br /></p>
