<div> We are seeking staff to join our team of learning assistants. Hours of work are: </div> <div> <br> </div> <div> Full time:&nbsp;<u>Monday to Friday 9am to 3.15pm.</u> </div> <div> <u> </u> </div> <div> Part time: <u>Three days 9am to 3.15pm.</u> </div> <div> <br> </div> <div> ROLE DESCRIPTION </div> <div> • Work with classroom teachers to meet the needs of the students. </div> <div> • Assist teachers in the preparation and organisation of classroom teaching tools </div> <div> • Work with individual or groups of children as directed by the teacher or in keeping with their Personalised Learning Plan </div> <div> • Reinforce positive behaviours and practices. </div> <div> • Keep appropriate records of programs implemented. </div> <div> • Observe the students’ progress, note achievements and challenges and share observations with class teachers. </div> <div> • Keep observations and information of students confidential. </div> <div> • Assist teachers and leaders in the smooth running of special programs or activities that operate at grade levels or throughout the whole school e.g. sports days, school events, excursions, camps, sacramental programs. </div> <div> • Relieve office staff at break times – general reception duties and first aid. </div> <div> • Other duties as directed by the Core Leaders or Learning Assistant Leaders </div> <div> <br> </div> <div></div> <div> SUCCESS CRITERIA: </div> <div> 1. Capacity to undertake routine support tasks across a range of functions in one or more work areas within a school environment. </div> <div> 2. Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively with members of the school community including students as well as the capacity to provide support and/or attendant care to students where necessary. </div> <div> 3. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of office systems, software or technical equipment as relevant to the position. </div> <div> 4. Capacity to work cooperatively with a range of people including teachers, learning assistants, students and parents. </div> <div> 5.
