Knox Grammar School is looking to appoint a fixed term, part time Japanese Language Teacher based at Senior Campus -commencing Term 2, 2024 and concluding Term 3, 2024

</b></p><p>Knox Grammar School is an independent, multi-campus Kindergarten to Year 12 day and boarding school for boys, located at Wahroonga on Sydney’s North Shore. In addition to the single-sex campuses, Knox also operates Wahroonga Preparatory School, a co-educational campus for students Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6.

</p><p><b>ABOUT THE ROLE
</b></p><p>Knox Grammar School is seeking to appoint a Japanese Language Teacher, working with students in Stage 4 and 5. The ideal candidate will be a passionate language teacher and would like the opportunity to work in a flourishing language department. This is a fixed term, part time (0.8 FTE) opportunity commencing Term 2, 2024 and concluding Term 3, 2024.
</p><p>The role requires an individual who can demonstrate:</p><ul><li>A variety of effective teaching strategies to engage students of varying abilities on their path to achieving specific learning outcomes.</li><li>Experience in the design, production and administration of various types and levels of assessments tasks.</li><li>Effective student management strategies for all levels of student ability and engagement.</li><li>Well-developed ICT skills for:<br />(i) Integration into classroom strategies<br />(ii) Departmental Teaching and Learning initiatives<br />(iii) Departmental administrative requirements</li><li>The desire to be a team player in a collegial department with high expectations of its members and of its students.
</li></ul><p><b>OUR OFFER
</b></p><p><i>From February 2024, the salary for a Band 1 graduate teacher will rise from $87,191 to $96,400 (11.31% above the AIS MEA) and the salary for the top of Scale Knox teacher will rise from $128,607 to $137,665 (12.19% above the AIS MEA).
