Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic College have a position for Nutrition Manager available to start in 2024.

<p>The successful applicant will be required to cook and prepare cuppa, lunch and afternoon tea for students aged from babies (FaFT) to school aged children (Primary and secondary).&nbsp;</p> <p>Menu planning, ordering and stock control will also form part of the daily duties for this role.&nbsp;</p> <p><b>About our school </b></p> <p>Wadeye is a large remote Aboriginal community situated approximately 400km south-west of Darwin with a population of around 3000 people on Kardu Diminin land. The vast majority of local Aboriginal people speak Murrinpatha as a first language. there are over 20 clans from the surrounding Thamarrurr region residing in Wadeye and attending the school. Our Lady of the Sacred Heat Thamarrurr Catholic College operates a Family as First Teachers ( FaFT) program, preschool, primary and secondary school.</p> <p><b>College Requirements </b></p> <ul> <li>Support the Catholic Ethos of the College.</li> <li>Support the Vision and Mission statement of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Thamarrurr Catholic College</li> <li>Support the Northern Territory Catholic Education Vision and Mission Statement.</li> </ul> <p><b>Position Objective </b></p> <p>The Nutrition Manager has the responsibility for the management and operation of the School Nutrition Program and School Canteen to co-ordinate, prepare and deliver meals in accordance with the Australian Government’s Indigenous Advancement Strategy School Nutrition Project Schedule and Operational Framework.</p> <ul> <li>All meals are to be prepared and delivered in accordance with:The NT Dept of Education’s School Nutrition and Healthy Eating Policy and Guidelines</li> <li>All Catholic Education NT SNP guidelines, procedures and policies</li> <li>Applicable State, Territory &amp; Commonwealth food preparation &amp; service and safe food handling procedures and guidelines including preparation and serving of food in a safe and hygienic environment.</li> <li>NT Food Act, Food Standards Code and National Canteen Guidelines</li> <li>Comply with Food Safety Standard 3.2.2ANational Health &amp; Medical Research Council &amp; Dept of Health &amp; Ageing Australian dietary guidelines.</li> </ul> <p><b>Key Duties and Responsibilities </b></p> <ul> <li>Manage the preparation of nutritious meals (breakfast, morning tea and lunch) from the school canteen;</li> <li>Provide the above meals to students each teaching day of the school year;</li> <li>Supervise, mentor and train SNP staff in kitchen operations, food preparation and safe food handling techniques in accordance with health &amp; hygiene regulations and the NT Food Act;</li> <li>Build the capacity of assistant kitchen staff at all times;</li> <li>Manage and maintain appropriate food stocks and catering supplies;</li> <li>Prepare and provide meal plans(menus) that provide variety and are culturally appropriate for the students;</li> <li>Liaise with NT Dept of Health (DoH) nutritionists to determine healthy menu plans and compliance with the NT DoE’s School Nutrition &amp;
