<p><br><strong>About the Role<br></strong>The Leader of Mission (Secondary) is a key member of the leadership team in a Catholic school and a key assistant to the Executive Principal in all matters concerning education in faith.</p>
<p>In collaboration with leadership, the Leader of Mission (Secondary) is responsible for evangelising mission of the school through:</p>
<ul>
<li>Leading the development of the school as a faith community</li>
<li>Fostering the ongoing relationship with the Sisters of Mercy as the foundation Charism of the school</li>
<li>Initiating, encouraging and participating in the liturgical and the prayer life of the school</li>
<li>Leading the RE and Mission Team, working closely and collaboratively with the Primary Campus to promote cohesion of the school community</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>About You<br></strong>The Religious Education Coordinator will exercise leadership that is inspired by the Gospels and located in the mission of the Church by aligning with the following selection criteria:</p>
<ul>
<li>The ability to develop and foster positive and productive relationships with the Parish, parishioners, students, staff and families in a complex and dynamic environment</li>
<li>An excellent classroom teacher, particularly in Religious Education</li>
<li>Capacity to lead and develop staff at individual and whole school level</li>
<li>The ability to professionally present to staff, students and parents in a variety of formats</li>
<li>Excellent organisation and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively with staff, students and families</li>
<li>A practising Catholic with active and regular commitment to the local Parish</li>
<li>Capacity to lead and develop staff at individual and whole school level</li>
<li>Appropriate tertiary and Religious Education qualifications (see our Accreditation Policy)</li>

<p>St Matthews Catholic School is a Kindergarten to Year 12 systemic Catholic school located in the beautiful and thriving township of Mudgee, NSW. The school has undergone unprecedented growth over the past 10 years, from 430 students in 2011 to enrolments of 1048 students in 2021. It was announced in July 2018, that the school would be moving to a multi-campus. That transition occurred at the beginning of 2023 and our secondary campus is already experiencing unprecedented enrolment growth as we move into 2024. Our Primary Campus continues to provide an outstanding learning environment for students from Kindergarten to Year 6. </p>
