</b></p><p>Founded in 1980, Christian College Geelong is a K-12 school where academic achievement is balanced with care and concern for each student’s character development and wellbeing, grounded in the Christian faith. We have five campuses across Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula and Surf Coast region as well as a rural experience for Year 9 students at an expansive farm property in Scotsburn, near Ballarat, and a unique Art, Technology and Design campus for Senior School students in Waurn Ponds.
</p><p><b>ABOUT THE ROLE
</b></p><p>We are looking for a versatile and dedicated Food Studies Teacher (and the ability to teach PE an advantage) to join our team on a part-time and ongoing. In this role, you will have the opportunity to educate students on the importance of both healthy nutrition and physical fitness. </p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:
</b></p><p><i>Food Studies:
</i></p><p>• Develop and deliver engaging food studies curriculum, covering topics such as culinary arts, nutrition, food safety, and food culture.
</p><p>• Create hands-on learning experiences, including cooking demonstrations, tastings, and food-related projects.
</p><p>• Foster an inclusive and creative classroom environment that encourages students to explore their culinary interests.
</p><p>• Assess and evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
</p><p>• Stay current with industry trends and educational best practices related to food studies.
</p><p><i>Physical Education:
</i></p><p>• Plan and lead physical education classes, focusing on fitness, sports, and overall well-being.
</p><p>• Develop age-appropriate lesson plans and activities to promote physical fitness and healthy lifestyles.
</p><p>• Assess and monitor students' physical development and provide guidance on improving their fitness levels.
</p><p>• Organize and supervise sports events, tournaments, and extracurricular activities.
</p><p>• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive attitude towards physical fitness.
</p><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><p>• Bachelor's degree in Food Studies, Physical Education, or a related field.</p><p>• Teaching certification or relevant teaching qualifications.</p><p>• Previous teaching experience in food studies, PE, or related subjects preferred.</p><p>• Strong passion for and knowledge of both food/nutrition and physical fitness.</p><p>• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</p><p>• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.</p><p>• Flexibility and adaptability in teaching methods.</p><p>*Please note: VIT and Qualification in Teaching or equivalent is required.</p><p><b>HOW TO APPLY</b></p><p>Interested candidates should submit the following application materials to recruitment@ccg.vic.edu.au:
