Join our team of Life Skills Coaches.</p> <p>We have an ongoing need for persons holding an Education Support qualification to work as Life Skills Coaches in Literacy and Numeracy. Our students are NDIS recipients who need additional support to progress lifetime learning outcomes and transition through school to tertiary studies.</p> <p>Our program targets a proficiency level of Y6 entry Y7 level so literacy and numeracy knowledge to these levels only required.</p> <p></p> <p>Right now, we have an immediate client in Cheltenham, VIC.</p> <p>Coaching Rate : $33/hr for session and travel time</p> <p>Some Key points about this role:</p> <p>• Work hours are generally after normal school hours.</p> <p>• Sessions are 2hrs conducted in the student’s home.</p> <p>• Student’s enrol for 12 months initially so work is reliable and regular.</p> <p>• You will be assisting students to learn Life Skills in Literacy and Numeracy to transition into employment or even to tertiary studies in some cases.</p> <p>• All students have some level of Special Needs covered by your qualification.</p> <p>• You will provide coaching in literacy and numeracy covering school English and Maths using the special needs teaching techniques you have learned at TAFE mostly up to Year 7 peer average competence.</p> <p>• We provide tools that give you in-class materials for students to practice concepts you cover and automatically mark work you give them to complete.</p> <p>• You can accept jobs for as few, or as many, students that fit your schedule.</p> <p>• Because you travel to student homes nearby your home you need access to a vehicle. We also reimburse at ATO rate for km travelled and coaching rate for travel time.</p> <p>• Prior experience with Special Needs students in an educational environment with referenceable exposure to students with Autism, ASD or ADHD learning difficulties has proven over the years to be a necessary pre-requisite for success in the role.</p> <p>• While we are age agnostic to have obtained the necessary competence as a Special Needs Teachers Aide we find successful applicants have several years experience</p> <p>To apply, please click the Apply Now button and complete the online form.
