<p><b>Location: </b>Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Position status: permanent part-time (65 hours per fortnight)</strong></p></li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Paid school holidays</strong></p></li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Supportive working environment&nbsp;</strong></p></li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Rewarding role working in our high support needs settings&nbsp;</strong></p></li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">The High Support Needs Centres for Learning are set in the context of <a href="https://www.xavierllandilo.catholic.edu.au/Learning/High-Support-Needs">Xavier College, Llandilo</a>, <a href="https://stpatsdundas.catholic.edu.au/Learning/High-Support-Needs">St Patrick’s Marist College, Dundas</a> and <a href="https://www.stlukesmarsdenpark.catholic.edu.au/Arrunga">St Luke's Arrunga School</a> providing students with an alternate platform for learning. The learning for students enrolled in the centres will reflect their needs and will, where appropriate include attendance in some mainstream classes. Through a focus on learning and wellbeing, our centres provide individualised programs and support for children with high support needs.</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About the opportunity:</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">We are currently seeking a driven School​ ​Support​ ​Officer​ ​-​ ​High Support Needs (HSN) to improve the learning​ ​outcomes for​ ​students at <span style="text-decoration: underline">St Luke's Arrunga School.</span> This position is a permanent part-time opportunity working 65 hours per fortnight (Monday-Friday).</p> <p dir="ltr">Work location is subject to change depending on emerging needs.&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>The School​ ​Support​ ​Officer​ ​-​ ​HSN is accountable for:</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Providing​ ​timetabled​ ​support​ ​and​ ​supervision​ ​of​ ​students,​ ​providing​ ​physical​ ​assistance​ ​and/or personal​ ​care​ ​when​ ​required</p></li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Implementing​ ​specific​ ​skill​ ​training​ ​and/or​ ​reinforcement​ ​of​ ​skills​ ​and​ ​independence</p></li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Supporting​ ​the​ ​Personalised​ ​Learning​ ​Plan​ ​process</p></li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Developing​ ​resources​ ​for​ ​special​ ​purposes</p></li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About you:</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment with the purpose and core values of CSPD along with:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance</p></li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Previous experience working with vulnerable students</p></li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Demonstrated ability to build meaningful relationships with students and support an inclusive learning environment</p></li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Interested?</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">This position involves working with children.
