Our Lady's school community is a contemporary Catholic school, committed to the safety, inclusivity wellbeing and protection of all students in our care. We are seeking an energetic educator with leadership experience who is inspired and motivated to make a positive difference in our school community.

<p>We are seeking a Literacy Leader who is experienced and has deep knowledge, understanding and practical&nbsp; application of the Victorian English and EAL curriculum. The successful applicant will join both the leadership and curricuum teams in leading learning, school improvement and management. This position will attract a POL 3 allowance. This role will begin January 29th 2024. The successful applicant will be an active member of the school community and strengthen parish, parent and school partnerships in order to enhance a sense of community, improve student learning outcomes and engagement.</p> <p>The role is a critical one in the school and one which calls the successful applicant to:</p> <ul> <li>actively lead English learning across all the strands F-6</li> <li>lead a community of faith that is welcoming and inclusive</li> <li>demonstarte shared values, beliefs and the capacity to uphold and maintain the school's vision and the Our Lady's school Gospel values across all interactions with staff, students and families</li> <li>develop self and others</li> <li>ensure student safety and wellbeing</li> <li>lead evidence informed growth</li> <li>be an agent of change and innovation by working collaboratively in the pursuit of improvement in learning for all students</li> <li>foster deep learning in a culture of ongoing professional development</li> <li>demonstrate effective stewardship of resources</li> <li>engage and work with the wider community</li> <li>plan and facilitate PLCS, PLDs and Staff meetings in all strands of English</li> <li>utilise evidence for tracking learning and school improvement purposes</li> <li>participate in all areas of school life with high levels of visible and responsible leadership through self-motivated initiatives</li> <li>&nbsp;a shared responsibility for Student Engagement and Student Wellbeing</li> <li>be agile and dynamic in their approach and respond to the daily reality of a vibrant school environment</li> <li>demonstrate a high level of communication skills</li> <li>demonstrate an ability to form professional and positive relationships with staff, students and families</li> <li>have a high level of knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Curriculum and relevant Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) initiatives (in line with the school's School Improvement Plan and Annual Action Plan)</li> <li>professionally develop the practice of teachers through coaching, coteaching and modelling</li> <li>working across multiple teams</li> <li>demonstrate strong organisational skills and ICT skills</li> <li>an active role in the development, implementation and evaluation of the School Improvement Plan and Annual Action Plan.</li> </ul>
