<p><b>Wakerie Lutheran Primary School is seeking a dynamic and innovative PYP Coordinator/Pedagogy Coach to join our team to lead the teaching and learning functions of the school. The position is a member of the Leadership Team and reports directly to the Principal.</b><br /></p><p>The PYP Coordinator/Pedagogical Coach will have experience in teaching in a PYP school and a thorough understanding of the IB Primary Years Programme. With a high level of proficiency as a practitioner they will act as a mentor to others to improve practice. The PYP Coordinator/Pedagogical Coach will have competent knowledge and understanding of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers in the areas of: </p><ul><li>Know students and how they learn. </li><li>Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning. </li><li>Assess, provide feedback and report on student learning. </li><li>Engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the community </li></ul><p>The PYP Coordinator/Pedagogy Coach will: </p><ul><li>lead, mentor and coach teachers in designing, teaching and evaluating high quality units of inquiry which are aligned with the Australian Curriculum and meet the requirements of the IB Primary Years Programme </li><li>support teachers by working alongside them both in and out of the classroom </li><li>engage in collaborative reflective practice </li></ul><p><b>Waikerie Lutheran Primary School </b></p><ul><li><b>regards its child protection responsibilities with the utmost importance and as such is committed to ensuring compliance with all relevant child protection laws and regulations and maintaining a child safe culture. </b></li><li><b>values diversity and adheres to Equal Opportunity legislation.</b></li></ul><p>The successful candidate will be suitably experienced, will honour the Christian ethos of the School and possess the ability to implement the School&#39;s values, policies, practices and objectives. </p><p><b> This 0.4 FTE leadership position with a tenure of 2 years attracts 3 leadership points.
