The partnership between Wellbeing & Learning is pivotal in the holistic care of each student. The Speech Pathologist is appointed by the Principal and is accountable to the Learning Diversity Leader. The focus of this position is to work with the Learning Diversity team to support identified students.

<p>St Columba’s College Ltd is a Catholic secondary girls’ school located in Essendon under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and conducted in the tradition of the Sisters of Charity. Applications are invited from a suitably qualified and experienced applicant for the following position: </p><p><b>Speech Pathologist</b></p><p>This is a part-time, fixed term position with an immediate start and concluding at the end of the 2023 School Year (with the possibility of ongoing work following a review of the position).</p><p>The Speech pathologist will:</p><ul><li> provide appropriate speech-language services for identified students in Years 7-12.</li><li>work with students exhibiting the full range of communication disorders, including those involving language, articulation (speech sound disorders), fluency, voice/resonance, and swallowing and social language skills. </li><li>offer assistance in addressing the linguistic and metalinguistic foundations of curriculum learning for students with disabilities, as well as other learners who are at risk of learning loss or those who struggle in school settings. </li><li>Work with the College to support literacy achievement of students with communication challenges, as well as other learners who are at risk of learning loss or those who struggle in school settings. </li><li>address personal, social/emotional, academic, and vocational needs that have an impact on attainment of educational goals. </li></ul><div><br /></div><p>The application form, role description and general information about the College are available on the College website www.columba.vic.edu.au.<br /></p><p>Your application including the names of three referees should be addressed to Ms Rita Grima, Principal, and must be submitted via the online application form in the employment section on the College website.</p><p> </p><p><b>Applications close Monday 3 April 2023 &#64; 4.00 pm</b></p><p>Mary Aikenhead Ministries schools are committed to promoting the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children. <br /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
