</b></p><p>The Cleaning Staff at St Francis College serve an essential role in the school in partnership with the Principal and other support and teaching staff. In addition to taking responsibility for specialist tasks outlined in their Position Statement, a key feature of the work of all Cleaning Staff is their ability to be flexible and responsive to the immediate and varied needs of the College which arise in the daily life of the school. All Cleaning Staff are therefore expected to contribute to a team approach.</p><p>The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:</p><ul><li>Vacuum, sweep, wipe down, wash, mop, polish, hose, empty/remove rubbish bags and reline bins, clean windows, defrost and clean fridges, and wipe down computers and benches.</li><li>Areas to clean include staffrooms, general learning areas, computer laboratory, offices and work/storage areas, and College archive spaces.
</li><li>Restock cleaning chemicals from main cleaner’s storeroom.
</li><li>Maintain all cleaning equipment in good working condition.
</li><li>Other duties as directed by the principal and/or appointed delegates that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying a position at this classification.</li></ul><p><b>About Leeton:

</p><p><b>What you will need to succeed (Selection Criteria):
</b></p><ul><li>Support for the Catholic ethos of the College.
</li><li>The ability to work collaboratively with other school staff members and independently as required.
</li><li>Commercial cleaning experience.
</li><li>Experience in maintaining Chemical Registers and other documentation.
</li><li>Possess a good working knowledge of WHS matters and handling and use of chemicals.
</li><li>Possess a good working knowledge of manual handling.
</li><li>Possess a good working knowledge of various types of cleaning equipment such as light and heavy industrial vacuum cleaners, back-vacs, polishing machines, floor scrubber, carpet shampooer, glass cleaning equipment, and other assorted machines.</li></ul><p><b>HIGHLY DESIRABLE QUALITIES
</b></p><ul><li>Experience in an educational setting
</li><li>Experience in food and beverage handling and operation of commercial kitchen appliances
</li><li>Willingness to engage in further training as required
