To us, every student is remarkable in the making.</strong></p><p>At present, we are excited to invite applications to the brand new position of <strong><u>Leader of Experiential & Service Learning.</u></strong></p><p> </p><p><strong><u>The role:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Permanent full-time, commencing Term 1, 2025.</li><li>Split: 0.6 teaching (HMS) / 0.4 non-teaching .</li><li>Works across P-12.</li><li>Involves some work in non-term time (attendance at camps / on trips).</li><li><strong>Will involve local, interstate, and international travel.</strong></li><li>NB: after the first year, the role will be reassessed for potential allocation of a Leadership Allowance.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Duties and responsibilities:</u></strong></p><ul><li>With the support of relevant Executive members and other senior leaders, scope, develop, and implement a comprehensive, age-appropriate curriculum of experiential and service activities across the P-12 continuum.</li><li>Oversee the planning and execution of all such activities, including all logistical, administrative, budgetary, and staffing considerations.</li><li>Undertake data-driven post-activity analysis to measure impact and facilitate continuous improvement.</li><li>More broadly, foster a student culture of active learning, community engagement, and personal growth, ensuring a Kambala education extends well beyond the classroom.</li><li>0.6 timetabled HMS teaching (initially P-6 in 2025, but may subsequently extend across P-12).</li><li>NB. timetabled classes are covered when required at activities / on camps.</li></ul><p><strong><u>The ideal candidate:</u></strong></p><ul><li>NESA-qualified to teach in NSW.</li><li>Additional qualification in outdoor education, recreation, or other related field.</li><li>Experience teaching PDHPE/HMS across P-12 at Proficient Teacher level.</li><li>Demonstrated experience developing, planning, coordinating, and executing experiential <u>and/or</u> service learning activities.</li><li>Demonstrated understanding of the nuances and opportunities found within girls-only education.</li><li>Outstanding interpersonal, organisational, and time management skills.</li><li>Open-minded and forward-thinking in pedagogical and pastoral practice.</li><li>A confident and communicative team player who makes a positive contribution to the life and culture of Kambala.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong><u>We offer:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Competitive, above-agreement rates of pay.</li><li>Staff shuttle bus to and from Edgecliff Station.</li><li>Daily hot & cold lunch menu at a nominal fee.</li><li>Advanced professional learning facilitated by KITE - the Kambala Institute of Teaching Excellence.</li><li>Access to pool, gym, and other school facilities.</li><li>A diverse and inclusive work environment where everyone is free to be their genuine and authentic self.</li><li><strong>NB - Saturday sport is not a requirement of this role.</strong></li></ul><p> </p><p>If you are an accomplished Physical Education teacher excited at prospect of continuing your teaching journey in this very unique and fulfilling role, we look forward to receiving your application via the Seek advertisement.
