<p><strong>Location:</strong>&nbsp;World Square, CBD and WFH<br><strong>Commencement Date:</strong> Immediate or by negotiation<br><strong>Closing Date:</strong> Friday, 12 January 2024<br><strong>Capacity:</strong> Full time, Two year contract<br><br><strong>About the role</strong><br><br> Reporting to the Family Wellbeing and Education Manager/s, the Family Wellbeing and Education Officer is responsible for mentoring, coaching and supporting the Family Educators to excel in their roles and to support the delivery of wellbeing initiatives, faith formation and evangelisation opportunities to parents and families at various stages of their own faith journey and practice. <br><br> The main accountabilities of the Family Wellbeing and Education Officer include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>mentoring, coaching and supporting the work of Family Educators</li> <li>leading professional development opportunities with Family Educators</li> <li>supporting the wellbeing of Family Educators</li> <li>modelling Religious Leadership through an active witness to the Gospel in one's daily work and interactions with others</li> <li>strengthening the capacity of Family Educators to establish and develop key relationships with school leadership team members and parish priests</li> <li>actively supporting the recruitment and induction of Family Educators</li> <li>organising, supporting and facilitating family evangelisation, parent and family wellbeing events and retreats</li> <li>developing a workplace culture which promotes network collaboration</li> <li>researching trends in Family Wellbeing and Education so as to address the needs of parents and inform system programs and initiatives</li> <li>contributing to the development of Board Papers, reports and presentations</li> <li>actively supporting projects and initiatives of the Mission &amp; Identity (M&amp;I) Directorate</li> <li>ensuring that key initiatives of the M&amp;I Directorate are promoted on social media and through other relevant publications</li> <li>participating in and contributing to formation programs and other events facilitated by Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS)</li> <li>Promoting and implementing the SCS' mission and vision 'To know and love Christ through learning and Thriving Catholic communities through excellent teaching and learning.'</li> <li>promoting and abiding by SCSs' values of empathy, curiosity, excellence, collaboration and truth</li> <li>any other duties and projects as directed by the Manager, Family Wellbeing and Education.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why work for Sydney Catholic Schools</strong><br><br> In joining SCS, you will be part of the largest Catholic education community in NSW, with a unified vision and shared resources, encompassing over 145 schools and almost 73,000 students.<br><br> SCS is recognised for outstanding student achievement, with 9 schools in the top 100 of the HSC rankings and 17 schools placing in the top 150.
