As an experienced and exceptional classroom practitioner, you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs. You will support identified students in Years 7-12 within individual and group contexts by way of co-teaching, offering in-class assistance and engaging in professional collaboration with classroom teachers.

<p>Mount St Joseph Milperra is seeking to appoint an experienced, organised and enthusiastic Diverse Learning Teacher with excellent communication skills and classroom experience in supporting students with a variety of learning support. The successful applicant will be committed to the Catholic ethos of the school and utilise effective learning and teaching strategies and technologies to enhance student learning. The Diverse Learning Teacher works with the whole school community including parents, to provide consultation, assessment, and planning and referral services for students with diverse learning needs.&nbsp;</p> <p>About You<br></p> <p>We invite a suitably qualified Diverse Learning Teacher to join our community.<br></p> <p>To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate;<br></p> <ul> <li>Experience in working with small groups of students<br></li> <li>The capacity and commitment to work collaboratively with the Diverse Learning team, classroom teachers and students</li> <li>The capacity to assist individual students with special needs in the classroom</li> <li>The capacity to contribute to the preparation of documentation required under legislation in line with privacy and confidentiality obligations</li> <li>The capacity to contribute to course materials for special needs students.</li> <li>A deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic school within the broader Catholic Church</li> </ul> <h5>You will have attained:</h5> <ul> <li>A tertiary qualification in education<br></li> <li>Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</li> <li>Qualifications in the education of students with diverse learning needs</li> <li>Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)</li> <li><a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1moHWv3A7WHapPQqPo5_J5QWsAk0pAJzi/view" rel="nofollow">Click here</a> to access SCS' Statement of Commitment to Child Safety and join us in creating a culture of child safety and wellbeing.</li> <li>Employee ID registration number with Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) or a commitment to Register to Teach in SCS.
