<p>Kolbe Catholic College is seeking a dedicated Arts/Design Assistant to infuse creativity into our vibrant learning environment. As an integral part of our team, you will provide essential support in the areas of Visual Arts and Wood Technology.</p> <p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p> <p>As the Arts/Design Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a safe and innovative atmosphere for both Visual Arts and Wood Technology. Key duties include:</p> <p>Wood Technology:</p> <ul> <li>Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations in the Wood Technology Practical Lab.</li> <li>Prepare materials, fostering a supportive environment for students with diverse learning needs during practical activities.</li> <li>Maintain equipment, inventory, and stock levels.</li> <li>Assist in the ordering, accounting of purchases, and stock inventory.</li> </ul> <p>Visual Arts:</p> <ul> <li>Adhere to safety procedures and regulations in the Art rooms.</li> <li>Prepare materials, creating an inclusive space for students with special learning needs during practical activities.</li> <li>Maintain equipment and ensure the cleanliness of Art rooms and storage areas.</li> <li>Assist in the ordering, accounting of purchases, and stock inventory.</li> </ul> <p>Other Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Fulfill additional duties as required and negotiated with Assistant Principals and Deputy Principal.</li> <li>Attend non-teaching staff meetings and team meetings as required.</li> </ul> <p>Position Classification:</p> <ul> <li>Fixed Term</li> <li>Education Support Officer - Level 2, Category B</li> <li>Full time, 8:20 am to 4:20 pm</li> <li>Performance review process based on self and peer appraisal.</li> </ul> <p>Key Criteria:</p> <p>We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate the following:</p> <ul> <li>Woodworking/machine experience.</li> <li>Understanding of basic art materials and techniques.</li> <li>First Aid Level Two Certificate.</li> <li>High level of literacy, numeracy, and information technology skills.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a creative flair.</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting demands effectively.</li> <li>Commitment to confidentiality and values of Catholic education.</li> <li>Proven capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team.</li> <li>Ability to obtain a National Criminal Records Check and Working with Children Check.</li> </ul> <p>If you are passionate about fostering creativity and supporting artistic growth, we invite you to apply.</p> <p><b>Applications Close: 4pm Wednesday&nbsp;the 13th of December 2023.</b></p> <p>For more information about Kolbe Catholic College, please go to our website&nbsp;www.kolbecc.catholic.edu.au</p> <p>Kolbe Catholic College is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care, including maintaining compliance with the&nbsp;Child Safety Code of Conduct.</p>
