Marcellin College, a leading Catholic boy's school, presents an opportunity for a Head of Mathematics to join our team on a full-time, ongoing basis commencing Term 1, 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to lead a team of educators and share their love of Mathematics with our students. 

<p>The Head of Mathematics&nbsp;position drives a collaborative culture of quality learning, student and staff growth and academic excellence, aligned with the College’s Catholic ethos, Marist Spirituality and Victorian Curriculum.<br><br> The Head of Mathematics works closely with the Deputy Principal - Learning and Teaching, Director of Learning Culture and the Learning and Teaching Team to ensure the development and implementation of a holistic learning and teaching program that is reflective of innovative practices.  <br><br> You will be someone who is able to model excellent teaching practices while building the capabilities of our learners through evidence-based approaches to teaching and learning. <br><br> The ability to develop inclusive and supportive learning environments, foster positive relationships and communicate with staff, students, and parents in a timely and respectful manner is essential to the role. <br><br> To be successful in this role you will bring relevant qualifications and contemporary teaching experience in your specialist teaching area as well as: <br><br> - A willingness to uphold the vision and values of Marcellin College<br> - Previous experience leading a team of educators<br> - Role model and inspire a passion for Mathematics in all students<br> - An understanding of contemporary teaching and learning pedagogies<br> - A commitment to working collaboratively as a part of a team <br> - Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills <br> - An ability to use ICT to facilitate and enrich student learning and engagement - A commitment to pastoral care and meeting the social and emotional wellbeing needs of students <br> - Current VIT Registration <br></p>
