<p>Delany College is seeking a <strong>Religious Education</strong> <strong>Teacher</strong> to join their collaborative team on a Permanent Full-time basis, commencing Term 1, 2024. <strong>This role attracts 1 coordinator point (FIAT) for the ideal candidate. </strong></p>

<li>Qualified to teach the Religious Education curriculum</li>
<li>Extensive pedagogical knowledge base and understanding of how the identified subject areas are learned, what affects students’ opportunities to learn the subject matter and how the learning and teaching of the subject matter can be enhanced</li>
<li>Understanding of how to differentiate learning to cater for students needs in order to maximise student learning</li>
<li>Sound understanding of the learning environments, lesson plans, use of technology, teaching practices and delivery of assessment and learning feedback</li>
<li>Committed to the continual improvement of their teaching practice and take opportunities for personal professional development</li>
<li>Work creatively and constructively within a range of 'communities' inside and beyond the school and set high, achievable goals for themselves and their students</li>
<li>Able to motivate students to achieve and to develop a life-long love of learning</li>

<p dir="ltr">Develop a clear set of focus areas for the year in alignment with the strategic focus on Catholic identity in consultation with the Religious Education Coordinator - or equivalent - and school leadership</p></li>
</ul>

<p dir="ltr">Develop student formation opportunities that respond to the school & formation priorities, in collaboration with leaders and local church agencies as appropriate </p></li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">Be a credible witness of faith, committed to their own ongoing formation and guiding students in their faith journey</p></li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">Work within, accompany and develop a FIAT comprised of staff and students</p></li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">Encourage and develop student leadership in FIAT programs and events</p></li>

<p dir="ltr">Establish clear communication strategies with school leadership to ensure FIAT’s integration and support within the wider school community</p></li>
