<p>Are you a passionate educator looking to support future Teachers?</p>
<p>Catholic Education Tasmania has embarked on an innovative journey to provide experienced based high-quality teacher education right here in Tasmania.</p>
<p>The St Thomas Aquinas Teaching Schools hosts a Teacher Cadet program which delivers an integrated, hands on development approach to Teacher Education in Tasmania.</p>
<p>The Program has a three-way structure encompassing:</p>
<ul>
<li>An online University Bachelor of Education or Master of Teaching degree</li>
<li>Weekly Intensive Teacher Development Sessions</li>
<li>Weekly School Placements as a paid Cadet Teacher working alongside a qualified Mentor Teacher.</li>
</ul>
<p>The program is aimed at Tasmanian school leavers, young adults, and mature aged students who seek a vocation in Catholic education after their degree.</p>
<p>Flexible working hours can be negotiated to mutually benefit both parties.</p>
<p>We seek an enthusiastic and engaging candidate to join our St Thomas Aquinas Team. This is an exceptional opportunity for candidates to be a part of the development and growth of our future Teachers.</p>
<p>The successful candidate will also be required to demonstrate their deep commitment to implementing evidence-based practice, with a sound knowledge of</p>
<ul>
<li>High Impact Teaching Practice,</li>
<li>Cognitive Load Theory and</li>
<li>Knowledge-Rich Curriculum Theory</li>
</ul>
