Domremy College is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Learning Support Officer for a temporary contract commencing Term 1, 2024. The position will involve 24 hours per fortnight.

<p>About the role:</p> <p>The role of Learning Support Officer is to assist in the provision of education and pastoral care for students from Years 7 to 12 with a wide range of learning abilities. The Learning Support Officer works collaboratively with the Leader of Diverse Learning. As a member of Domremy College, the role requires a commitment to Catholic education, a clear understanding of the ethos of Catholic Schools and a willingness to contribute to the faith formation of students.</p> <p>Key Selection Criteria:</p> <ul> <li>The successful candidate will be able to:-</li> <li>Demonstrate experience implementing adjustments for students with a range of diverse learning needs to enhance learning growth across all KLAs.</li> <li>Collaboratively and collegially work as a member of the Diverse Learning team.</li> <li>Provide in class support to students who have a mild to moderate cognitive disability.</li> <li>Collect data and evidence to support NCCD requirements and an understanding of relevant legislation (DDA, DSE).</li> <li>Administer one on one and small group interventions to students with a diverse range of learning abilities.</li> <li>Administer a range of standardised assessments.</li> <li>Knowledge of the Quicksmart Program preferred.</li> <li>Maintain school based data and records upholding confidentiality.</li> <li>Use and integrate technology across a wide range of administrative and curriculum applications. into everyday learning and planning.</li> </ul> <p>Formal Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Qualifications and/or experience as a Learning Support Officer/Teacher’s Aide is essential.</li> </ul> <p><br></p> <p></p> <p></p>
