St Dominic’s College, Kingswood is a Catholic school in the Blessed Edmund Rice tradition conducted by Edmund Rice Education Australia. Founded by the Christian Brothers in 1959, the College has a current enrolment of 1000 boys, Years 7 – 12. The mission of St Dominic's College is to create a caring environment where excellence in Education is evident within the Catholic tradition and the Spirit of Edmund Rice.

<p>The College is looking to appoint a highly motivated, suitably qualified Director of Curriculum commencing at the beginning of the 2024 College year.</p> <p>The Director of Curriculum is a position on the College Leadership Team.</p> <p></p> <p>The Director of Curriculum, in keeping with the philosophy of the College, seeks to ensure that the policies, programs and structures in the College, particularly those relating to the area of curriculum, actively promoting the Catholic ethos.<br></p> <p>The Director of Curriculum aims to foster within the College:</p> <ul> <li>An environment based on the Gospel values of compassion and justice truly reflective of the EREA Charter.</li> <li>Development and implementation of policies and procedures for improved outcomes in Curriculum areas and the development of excellence in pedagogy for boys.</li> <li>Leadership guided by the College Strategic plan.</li> </ul> <p>The College Principal delegates to the Director of Curriculum through the College Deputy Principal responsibilities in the areas of leadership, curriculum, pastoral care, professional learning and management.&nbsp;</p> <p><b><br></b></p> <p><b>The successful applicant will be committed to the advancement of student learning and; </b></p> <ul> <li>Must have a working understanding of, and strong commitment to Catholic values, morals and faith in an Edmund Rice School;</li> <li>Have an understanding of the Charism of Blessed Edmund Rice and the EREA Touchstones and core values of the Edmund Rice Charter.</li> <li>Have the ability to lead the College community in the area of Curriculum.</li> <li>Have the ability to liaise with external bodies, such as EREA, Catholic Secondary School Association, Catholic Schools NSW and NESA in relation to curriculum issues.</li> <li>Will be able to demonstrate experience, innovation and engagement as a team leader.</li> <li>Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning and formation.</li> <li>Must have well developed, interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students in enhancing the quality of learning and development of young minds.</li> </ul> <p><br></p> <p><b>Highly Desirable Criteria: </b></p> <ul> <li>Will be able to demonstrate experience and/or practical knowledge of boy’s education as issues and initiatives across stages 4, 5 and 6.</li> <li>Will be able to demonstrate experience of leading processes to improve student performance in Catholic schools.</li> <li>Will be able to demonstrate evidence of effective leadership and development of an innovative curriculum to meet the diverse needs of all learners.</li> <li>Excellent organisation and planning skills; must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities within given deadlines.</li> <li>Commitment to team and building relationships</li> <li>Working in collaboration with the College Principal and Leadership Team to support the College’s vision and mission, and build a learning community focused on high expectations and standards of excellence.</li> </ul> <p><br></p> <p>Teachers at St Dominic’s College are employed under the NSW Catholic Schools (Teachers – Model B) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2023 and may attract higher levels of renumeration.</p> <p>This leadership position will attract an additional 3 point Coordinator Allowance to the teacher salary.&nbsp;</p> <p>The salary will be reflective of NESA accreditation level and teaching experience, with an estimated annual salary between $157 742 - $167 569.&nbsp;</p> <p>The College offers a variety of benefits for staff including:</p> <ul> <li>Teacher accreditation support and professional learning programme.</li> <li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – Counselling Service.</li> <li>Annual influenza vaccinations provided by the College.</li> <li>Catered weekly morning teas.</li> <li>Catered staff development and networking days.</li> <li>Free onsite parking.</li> <li>Free street parking.</li> <li>Free use of College gym.</li> <li>College provided laptops.</li> </ul> <p>Applicants are encouraged to visit the College website www.stdominics.nsw.edu.au for further information about the College.
