<p dir="ltr">Catholic Education Tasmania is offering a unique opportunity for Speech Pathologists entering their final year of study in 2024 to join the Graduate Scholarship Program, and be appointed to an ongoing position following the successful completion of their degree, commencing 2025.</p>
<p dir="ltr">As a Speech Pathologist you will work closely with colleagues as a specialist member of the Speech Pathology team to provide educational and language assessments for students and support the development and implementation of school-based intervention programs for students with educational and/or language communication needs. </p>
<p>For Speech Pathology students entering their final year of study in 2024 we are offering:</p>
<ul>
<li dir="ltr">$6,000 on accepting an offer of employment as a Speech Pathologist and signing the scholarship agreement,</li>
<li dir="ltr">$11,000 on commencement of employment to Catholic Education Tasmania in 2025, and</li>
<li dir="ltr">$13,000 on completion of three years’ service as a Speech Pathologist with Catholic Education Tasmania.</li>
</ul>
<p dir="ltr">As the Speech Pathologist in 2025, you will:</p>
<ul>
<li dir="ltr">Provide small group and individual in-school speech pathology assessment and intervention services for students with communication impairments,</li>
<li dir="ltr">Provide consultancy support to teachers regarding inclusive, evidence-based curriculum approaches designed to support students with the development of oral language skills, and</li>
<li dir="ltr">Contribute to the implementation of the CET’s Strategic Plan.</li>
</ul>
<p dir="ltr">Some of the skills and experiences we are looking for are:</p>
<ul>
<li dir="ltr">Tertiary qualification in speech pathology,</li>
<li dir="ltr">Sound knowledge of current speech pathology practices including assessment and intervention techniques, and</li>
<li dir="ltr">Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the capacity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.</li>
</ul>
