St Matthew's Primary, Windsor is seeking a Level 4 Administration Officer with WHS experience to join our wonderful school community.

<p><b>Location: </b>St Matthew's Primary School - Windsor</p> <ul> <li><strong>Temporary Part-time (2 Days)</strong></li> <li><strong>Monday and Friday's only - 9.00 am to 3.30 pm for 12 months!</strong></li> <li><strong>Great hours to work at an amazing and supportive School!</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>About the Opportunity:</strong></p> <p>The WHS and Administration Officer supports the work of St Mathews in fulfilling its strategic functions and performance expectations.&nbsp;The WHS and Administration Officer supports the operations of the school with the organisation and delivery of WHS projects and requirements across the school. The WHS and Administration Officer will also support the needs of the front office, which will include contact with families and visitors in person, by phone and email and<br> supporting students who need access to the school Sick Bay.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>The WHS and Administration Officer, will support the WHS legislative and compliance requirements of the school and the day-to-day administrative requirements of the front office.</p> <p><strong>WHS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintain and annually review the school emergency response guide handbook (evacuation procedures) in learning spaces and admin areas, including student medical alerts, class rolls, PEEPs, evacuation drill feedback and site diagrams for each learning space;</li> <li>Maintain the student medication register and authority for the school to administer;</li> <li>Communicate with parents regarding supply levels of medication, as well as the schools and student defibrillators;</li> <li>Regularly audit student EpiPens, Asthma, medication and plans;</li> <li>Responsible for maintaining the first aid kits in the school, including the teacher playground duty response bags;</li> <li>Review and maintain cyclic maintenance record on a regular basis, the WHS Work Processes and update all relevant policies, Plant and Equipment, Supervision and WHS Checklists ;</li> <li>Maintain the WHS Hazardous Chemical Register and safety data sheets, as well as ensuring they are safely stored and labelled in all relevant areas;&nbsp;</li> <li>Ensure all WHS training is complete, including On guard training requirements, CPR, Emergency Care, etc, to ensure they are aware of their compliance requirements and have access to training modules;</li> <li>Ensure staff are aware of what to do when injured at work and the process to report injuries and assaults to CSPD;</li> <li>Maintain WHS noticeboard with up to date communication, including relevant WHS advice and requirements on the week staff newsletter</li> </ul> <p><strong>Administration</strong></p> <ul> <li>Follow up unexplained attendance each week and provide families with Unexplained Attendance Notes;</li> <li>Maintain the organisation and supplies in the photocopier room;</li> <li>Support the School Finance Officer by assisting with banking, receipting and</li> <li>Eftpos balancing at the conclusion of the school day;</li> <li>Run the weekly Wings check based on student rewards</li> <li>Compass updates - notes, medications, parent details, file updates</li> <li>Assist with reception relief and general office duties;</li> <li>Support school event and fundraising days. (Mothers, Fathers Day, Welcome BBQ, Hot Lunch, Grandparent Days);</li> <li>Respond to enquiries from students, parents, employees, and the general public;</li> <li>Assist with Sick Bay, including the administering of student medications.</li> <li>Any other duties as assigned by the Principal</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>The Ideal Candidate:</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Appropriate demonstrated experience</p></li> </ul> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Exceptional communication skills&nbsp;</p></li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Adaptability and an ability to navigate changing/transforming environments</p></li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">The ability to work under pressure and to manage multiple tasks at one time</p></li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills</p></li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">Strong WHS school experience (highly desired)</li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Knowledge of Compass desirable but not essential</p></li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Why Choose Us?</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">Joining CSPD means being part of a passionate team dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and communities.
