<p dir="ltr"><br><strong>About the Role</strong><br>
We have an exciting opportunity for an Instructional Leader to join the supportive team at Catherine McAuley Catholic Primary School in Orange, NSW. The Instructional Leader in a Catholic school is someone who has the capacity to work in a variety of teaching modes and to provide instructional leadership across the school, working with teachers to build their capacity.</p>
<p dir="ltr">We are seeking a Teacher who understands and commits to supporting the mission and ethos of Catholic education within the school by:</p>
<ul>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">Working collaboratively with teachers to develop quality teaching programs that personalise learning for students according to their needs and abilities, create effective assessment practices.</p></li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">Gathering, analysing and using data including the EAL/D Learning Progressions to inform their practice, and plan, create and deliver effective and meaningful English language learning activities accordingly.</p></li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">Mentoring, monitoring and actively engage with teachers to enhance their understanding of English language development.</p></li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">Creating a positive and engaging learning environment.</p></li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">Supporting and participating in the school’s strategic focus for learning and work collaboratively with colleagues across the school.</p></li>

The new Instructional Leader will enrich the experiences of our students through contemporary teaching experience and aligning with the following selection criteria:</p>
<ul>

<p dir="ltr">Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to work collegially and collaborate within a diverse team</p></li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">A willingness to engage with the Professional Learning Communities program and the ability to work effectively as part of a Professional Learning Team</p></li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">Advanced understanding of contemporary teaching and learning practices</p></li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">Experience and proven record in effective classroom learning and teaching including a proven ability to differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students</p></li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">Experience working with children in an educational setting</p></li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">An understanding of the EAL/D Learning Progressions</p></li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">A willingness to engage in Professional Learning to develop best practice in education through professional development and working with an expert other</p></li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">The position is based in a variety of delivery models and modes of instruction</p></li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">The role may require additional hours outside of school for professional development or other school-related activities</p></li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">The successful applicant will acknowledge and agree to the requirement to work within the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.</p></li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">Knowledge of Diverse Learning, including Gifted Education (Desirable).</li>
