<p><b>Key Focus Areas </b></p> <p>The Learning Enhancement Teacher will have a particular interest in Stage 4 &amp; 5 English, as well as the following criteria:</p> <ul> <li>Extensive pedagogical knowledge base and understanding of how the identified subject areas are learnt and how the learning and teaching of the subject matter may be enhanced</li> <li>Understanding of how to differentiate learning to cater for students’ needs in order to maximise student learning</li> <li>Sound understanding of the learning environments, lesson plans, use of technology, teaching practices and delivery of assessment and learning feedback</li> <li>Work creatively and constructively within a range of 'communities' inside and beyond the school and set high, achievable goals for themselves and their students</li> <li>Able to motivate students to achieve and to develop a life-long love of learning</li> </ul> <p><b>Skills and/or Experience </b></p> <ul> <li>Apply knowledge of current developments in both curriculum and quality learning and teaching.</li> <li>Able to co-teaching and designing pedagogy as part of the Learning Enhancement Team.</li> <li>Have the capacity to collaborate with all stakeholders, to plan, implement and evaluate individualised programs</li> <li>Apply interventions and adjustments for students, to enable successful participation and progress in learning and skills for living.</li> <li>Provide targeted reading and writing intervention daily, based on evidence-based reading, writing and numeracy interventions</li> </ul> <p>Collaborate with students’ families, teachers and specialists in planning learning and social support.</p> <p></p> <p></p> <p></p>
