<p>Preshil seeks a skilled and enthusiastic teacher with the ability to teach Science (Chemistry) in a progressive academic setting. While some experience in the IB DP is preferred, teachers with secondary school experience and a willingness to undertake the IB training will be considered.</p> <p>The ability to also teach Biology or Environmental Systems and Society will be an advantage.</p> <p>Experience in the Diploma Programme (DP) of the International Baccalaureate is preferred but not essential. Experienced VCE Chemistry teachers are welcome to apply.</p> <p>We expect the ideal candidate to:</p> <ul> <li>Have a strong background in classroom Science teaching.</li> <li>Have experience integrating practical experiments in a classroom setting</li> <li>Demonstrate outstanding discipline-based knowledge and experience in teaching, with preference given to candidates having IB experience.</li> <li>Carry out professional duties and to have responsibility for assigned classes, co-curricular programs and individual students.</li> <li>Be responsible for the day-to-day learning and management of classes and the safety and welfare of the students, during on-site and off-site activities.</li> <li>Promote the aims and objectives of the school and maintain its philosophy of education.</li> <li>Demonstrate outstanding discipline-based knowledge and experience in the subject area.</li> </ul> <p>Applications will be processed upon receipt.<br></p> <p></p> <p></p>
