Christ the Priest is seeking an enthusiastic staff member dedicated to Grade 5/6 Student Diversity and Lead Teaching.

<p>Christ the Priest (CtP) Primary School is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care.</p><p>The successful applicant will be a skilled classroom practitioner with a passion for leadership and student diversity, familiar with the Victorian Curriculum, and able to collaborate with others as part of a team working towards improving learning outcomes for all students at Christ the Priest. They will be involved in the professional support of staff through modelling, collaborating, coaching and using processes that develop knowledge, practice and professional engagement in others.</p><p>The role of the Learning Diversity Leader is to plan strategically for and oversee, the development and implementation of individualised targeted teaching and learning programs across the school. The role also forms the link between the home, school, external providers and Melbourne Archdioces of Catholic Schools (MACS).</p><p>The position is a POL 1 - 1 year contract appointment with an ongoing teaching position. FTE can be negotiated.</p><p><b><u> Selection Criteria: </u></b></p><p>1. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to student diversity. Including the management and completion of required NCCD documentation.</p><p>2. Capacity to translate documentation and recommendations of reports and assessments associated with student diversity into effective learning programs.</p><p>3. Assist and collaborate with teachers in the implementation of classroom programs through mentoring, coaching and modelling. </p><p>4.  Developed organisational and time management skills with an ability to work independently and as a team.  </p><p><br /></p><p><b><u>Special Requirements </u></b></p><p>The successful applicant should: </p><p> -accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school is desirable.</p><p>-be committed to child safety, to maintaining best practices to ensure this and to ongoing evaluation of these practices </p><p>-have read and be committed to maintaining the standards as set out in our Child Safe Code of Conduct </p><p>-have read, and be aware of, the attached statement on the &#39;Principles Regarding Catholic Education&#39; and our Privacy statement.</p><p>-hold a current VIT registration</p>
