Mercy Catholic College, Chatswood is seeking to appoint a passionate Sports & Co-Curricular Co-ordinator on a permanent full-time basis.

<p>Mercy Catholic College, Chatswood is seeking to appoint a passionate <strong>Sports &amp; Co-Curricular Co-ordinator</strong> to co-ordinate student participation in Catholic Schools Broken Bay (CSBB) Secondary Sports, school and CSBB carnivals, extra-curricular sports, activities and the Duke of Edinburgh program.&nbsp;<br><br> This is for a permanent full-time role to start on 27 January 2026.<br><br><strong>Why join us at Catholic Schools Broken Bay?</strong><br><br> We value our teachers and school leaders so they can best support every student to learn and flourish in a culture of safety and care. We have also introduced additional Staff Development Days focused on curriculum reform, as well as separate arrangements for teacher directed time throughout the year</li> <li><strong>Staff voice:</strong> Our Enterprise Agreement reflects our deep commitment to having systems in place which give our frontline staff a genuine voice in their work</li> <li><strong>Staff School Fee Discounts: </strong>Eligible staff receive a 25% discount on their children's school fees at our schools, pro-rated to their FTE</li> <li><strong>Wellbeing Support:</strong> we provide a robust wellbeing program to ensure our staff thrive and grow.</li> <li><strong>Middle Leaders Program</strong>: we have a comprehensive program to develop leadership capacity, including for aspiring leaders of tomorrow</li> <li><strong>Teachers</strong> <strong>Overnight Allowance for Camps and Excursions</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>Specific Criteria</strong><br> &nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Strong commitment to the Catholic ethos and our Vision of <i>Authentic professional Catholic education delivered with care and compassion</i></li> <li>Be responsible for the leadership and administration of sports and activity programs, including Mercy Catholic College carnivals.</li> <li>Recruit and lead paid and volunteer coaches and team managers in the implementation of coaching excellence within each sport.</li> <li>Lead the trial and selection process for each sport in an inclusive and fair fashion.</li> <li>Maintain high expectations of student behaviour and participation.</li> <li>Ensure compliance to school policies and processes including risk management and safeguarding.</li> <li>Manage budgets, staffing and facilities in consultation with the College Business Manager and Principal.</li> <li>Represent the College in the wider community at CSBB and other sporting and co-curricular meetings and carnivals as required.</li> <li>Coordinate and attend before and after school training sessions and weekend sporting fixtures. Some availability on Saturday's and evenings will be required and will be compensated with time in lieu.</li> <li>Role may be accompanied with a small teaching load.</li> <li>Be able to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic professional learning community.</li> <li>Have highly developed interpersonal, presentation and communication skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with staff, students, parents/carers and community members.</li> <li>Hold a valid Working With Children Check</li> <li>Must be a 4-year trained teacher</li> </ul> <p><strong>About Us</strong><br><br> We are Catholic Schools Broken Bay, a vibrant and enriching learning environment that spans the Central Coast, Sydney's Northern Beaches and the North Shore.
