Learning Support Assistant to commence Tuesday 21 January 2025. The Learning Support Assistant has a responsibility for providing effective assistance to teachers to enable them to enhance the learning outcomes of their students.

<p><strong>ABOUT US</strong></p><p><i><strong>Emmanuel Anglican College, Ballina provides an innovative and dynamic learning environment for students in Pre-school to Year 12 and is highly regarded as a centre of academic and pastoral excellence in the Ballina Shire and Northern Rivers Region.</strong></i></p><p><strong>ABOUT THE ROLE</strong></p><p>The College seeks multiple experienced and qualified Learning Support Assistants. </p><p>A combination of full time and part time roles are available. </p><p>The role will be responsible for providing effective assistance to teachers to enable them to enhance the learning outcomes of their students. The Learning Support Assistant will work as a member of the Learning Support Team to implement strategies, programs and support that will enable student learning in the secondary school (Years 7 - 12), Primary school (Years K - 6) or a combination of both.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans for students with additional needs</li><li>Assist teachers with the development of resources and programs that support students with additional needs</li><li>Assist with Teaching Resources Preparation</li><li>Participate as a member of the Learning Support Team and the College Community</li><li>Contribute positively as a member of a team, actively promoting WHS procedures and working collaboratively with College staff</li></ul><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Qualifications in Education Support or equivalent</li><li>Experience in a school setting, including supporting students with a range of physical, social/emotional and cognitive needs </li><li>Passionate about understanding how students learn and the ability to support the development of classroom environments that meet the needs of all learners</li><li>The capacity to work as a member of a dynamic learning support team</li><li>A current Working With Children Clearance (NSW)</li><li>First Aid Qualification</li></ul><p><strong>HOW TO APPLY</strong></p><p>Please provide a cover letter outlining your experience and suitability for the role addressing key responsibilities and knowledge, skills and qualifications outlined in the Position Description.
