Applications are invited from qualified educators for this exciting role in our well-resourced school for the position of English Coordinator 2 for 2025.</p>
<p dir="ltr">This role encompasses areas such as the coordination of whole school programs and initiatives, data analysis, parent communication and accountabilities in line with SCS policies and procedures.<br /> <br /><strong>Position Highlights</strong><br /> <br />The successful applicant will join the school with a focus on providing quality Catholic education, maximising student outcomes by offering a rich, relevant and holistic curriculum that is student centred, flexible and challenging.<br /> <br />This full-time role is scheduled to commence on Friday, 31 January 2025. The English Coordinator 2 position is an 2-point promotional role, temporary for up to 3 years, however your teaching position will be full-time and permanent.<br /> <br />This position exists as a role to support the school in its AIP and in meeting the System agenda. <p dir="ltr"><strong>About You</strong><br /> <br />As the <strong>English Coordinator 2</strong>, you work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy. <br /> <br />To excel in this role, you will be able to:</p>
<ul>
<li>support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students</li>
<li>demonstrate excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being</li>
<li>integrate technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences</li>
<li>facilitate the ongoing development of differentiated pedagogy and assessment which is informed by evidence-based approaches and the skilled use of data</li>
<li>demonstrate highly developed interpersonal skills reflecting an ability to effectively communicate with parents, staff and students</li>
<li>demonstrate experience in coaching, mentoring and modelling excellent teaching practice to peer teachers within the school in English</li>
<li>be familiar with the K-6 English Curriculum and be instrumental in the development of a Strategic Implementation Plan for the school.</li>
</ul>
<p dir="ltr">As a member of the leadership team, it is a necessity to participate fully in extra curricular activities and events, including but not limited to, out-of-hours workshops, presentations, meetings and incidental activities as required.<br /> <br />You will have attained:</p>
<ul>
<li>a tertiary qualification in Education</li>
<li>eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</li>
<li>Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per <a href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/policies/accreditation-policy-to-work-teach-and-lead-in-sydney-catholic-schools"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead</span></a>.</li>
