We are seeking an Administartive Officer with a warm, friendly persona, to join our supportive, cohesive and collaborative team of three. The role is vital to the efficient and smooth running of the school on a day to day basis and involves daily interaction with children and parents. The ability to be flexible and multi task is vital. The role is for three days a week beginning 28/01/2025.

<p><strong>Selection Criteria:</strong><br /> </p><p>Previous experience in administration, finance and client service; ideally in a school setting.</p><p>Well-developed organising, planning and coordination skills including the ability to prioritise tasks and to handle multiple demands effectively, efficiently and calmly.</p><p>High proficiency in Microsoft Office including:</p><p>a. Word, Excel and PowerPoint</p><p>b. sound knowledge of general IT systems and applications (ICON an advantage)</p><p>c. competent in Intranet and Internet</p><p>Excellent communication skills including:</p><p>a. the capacity to communicate effectively within the school and external agencies</p><p>b. demonstrated ability to work as part of a team</p><p>c. excellent telephone manner</p><p>d. empathy toward children and families.</p><p>High attention to detail and the ability to multitask; setting timelines and meeting deadlines.</p><p>Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive confidential information.</p><p>A commitment to the ethos, values and mission of Catholic education.</p><p>Work with ICON MACS Shared Services Centre and MACS Business Manager to complete all tasks.</p><p>Ability to participate in ongoing professional development.</p><p><strong>Qualifications,</strong></p><p><strong>Skills &amp; Experience:</strong></p><p>Experience in school or administrative systems an advantage.</p><p>Current First Aid certificate and Working with Children&#39;s Check.</p><p>Appropriate certificates or diplomas of business or accounting.</p><p><strong>In a team environment a range of duties may include:</strong></p><p>1. Suppport the financial management of the school.</p><p>2. Receive and reciept money.</p><p>3. Undertake dealings with families on all fee queries and payment terms.</p><p>4. Be responsible for payment of accounts received by the school.</p><p>5. Processing the school credit card.</p><p>6.Collect school fees and charges and maintain appropriate records.</p><p>7. If required assist with the collating, completing and organising of information relating to suppliers, bank accounts, invoices and census data for processing by Shared Service Centre (SSC).</p><p>8. If required assist with uploading payments to the school bank account.</p><p>9. Assist the Shared Service Centre on any requests for information or clarification.</p><p>10. Understand and keep abreast re updates of the MACS Finance Procedures Manual and ensure procedures are followed throughout the year to ensure efficient annual audit process.</p><p>11. Front reception duties as required.</p><p>12. Administer Sick Bay and First Aid for students as required.</p><p>13. Attend ICON Workshops and ongoing training.</p><p>14. Attend/participate in other mandated training/updates e.g., CPR, Child Safety.</p><p>15. Assist daily with student attendance records.</p><p>15. Other duties as directed by the Principal.</p><p> </p><p>This position is classified under the CEMEA 2022 as Education Support Salaries - Category B. Salary pro rata commensurate with relevant skills and experience.
