As a member of the school's Religious Education team, the Assistant Religious Education Coordinator will play a key role in the development and implementation of Religious Education programs across the school, promoting Evangelisation initiatives, in building a thriving Catholic community. This position requires an outstanding educator with a well-developed capacity to take forward the evangelising mission of Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Sydney.<br /> <br />To be successful for this role, you must demonstrate proven experience in:</p> <ul> <li>creating a faith community that brings the Gospel and teachings of the Catholic Church to all the students, families and staff</li> <li>creating a contemporary, student-centred learning culture</li> <li>initiating and leading change and improvement to enhance learning for all students, especially in Religious Education</li> <li>working strategically, with an understanding of the school within the broader educational, ecclesial and community context</li> <li>developing collaborative partnerships to support student and staff faith journey, learning and well-being, especially in the context of evangelization.</li> </ul> <p>The successful candidate will also possess the following:</p> <ul> <li>has completed, or has evidence of, study toward a Graduate Diploma or Master of Religious Education or Theology (desirable)</li> <li><a href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/policies/accreditation-policy-to-work-teach-and-lead-in-sydney-catholic-schools"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Category D</span></a> Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead in systemic Catholic schools Archdiocese of Sydney Accreditation. Category E Accreditation desirable</li> <li>a Baptised Catholic with demonstrated evidence of ongoing commitment to the teachings of the Catholic Church and engagement in the life of a Catholic faith community such as a parish or an established community within the Catholic Church, as an expression of your relationship with Jesus Christ</li> <li>ability to demonstrate the standard descriptors at Highly Accomplished or Lead Teacher Level in accordance with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers</li> <li>postgraduate units of study in Leadership (advantageous).</li> </ul> <p><br /><strong>Application Process</strong><br /> <br />Please click on the 'Apply' button and follow the steps to submit your application.
