The school strives for all students to develop their spirituality, relationships and potential to become the best they can be.</p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>We are currently looking for an enthusiastic <strong>Religious Education Coordinator</strong> to join our faith community and assist the Principal in implementing effective teaching and learning programs across the school. They are responsible for implementing effective Religious teaching and learning programs and within the school.&nbsp;</p><p><i>This appointment is temporary as it replaces a teacher who is on leave or secondment.</i></p><p><strong>Benefits and Opportunities</strong></p><ul><li>A positive and collaborative workplace culture&nbsp;</li><li>Extensive training in our high-quality professional learning program, Catalyst&nbsp;</li><li>Access to curriculum resources that support evidence-based, high-impact teaching practice&nbsp;</li><li>24 weeks of paid parental leave (maternity/adoption)&nbsp;</li><li>Up to 14 weeks of paid parental leave (paternity/non-initial primary carer leave)&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Actively promote the Catholic Tradition to the school community</li><li>Organise, promote and attend appropriate school and parish religious celebrations</li><li>Promote prayer, reflection and faith development within the staff and student communities</li><li>Communicate relevant details of the religious teaching and learning program to clergy and parents</li><li>Communicate Sacramental information to relevant grades and coordinate retreats and celebrations with the Parish Priest.</li><li>Ensure the implementation of the new Religious Education Scope and Sequence throughout the school</li><li>Guide teachers in the planning of classroom and school prayer and worship, ensuring a variety of celebrations appropriate for the liturgical year</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p><ul><li>Must hold a NSW Working With Children Check registration and a NSW Teaching Accreditation&nbsp;</li><li>Must have commenced or completed relevant degree.</li><li>Demonstrate concern for the pastoral care of staff and students</li><li>Maintain an effective leadership profile and good relationships with staff, students and the community</li><li>Promote positive relationships between Parish Priests, the Parish community and the school</li><li>Actively promote harmonious and cooperative staff relationships</li><li>Demonstrate ethically responsible behaviour</li><li>Model Catholic beliefs and practices</li></ul><p><i>Please refer to the role description for an in-depth detail regarding the criteria and skill set required.</i><br>&nbsp;</p><p><br><strong>Application Process</strong></p><p>Applications are invited from interested candidates able to demonstrate a commitment to the vision of Catholic Education.</p><p>Applicants are required to submit a cover letter and current resume including a statement of suitability against the skills, attributes and experience as outlined in the position description.</p><p>This position involves working with children.
