<p>Commencing beginning of Term 3 </p><p>MacKillop Catholic College is a Catholic co-educational secondary school. In its 13th year of operation it is located in the growing area of Palmerston, Northern Territory, which is approximately 20Km South East of Darwin. The College caters for Years 7-12 students. </p><p>The Academic Head of Department works collaboratively with the Principal, Leadership Team and other Academic and Pastoral leader’s in creating opportunities for students to receive an effective Catholic education based on the Vision, Mission and Curriculum Philosophy of the College. </p><p>The Academic Head of Department plays a vital role in the development, implementation and support of high quality, effective and relevant school curriculum which conforms to National, State/Territory educational standards and to Diocesan policies and strategic directions. </p><p>Applications are sought from suitably qualified, committed and enthusiastic individuals for the above-mentioned position. </p><p>CRITERIA FOR APPOINTMENT </p><p>Commitment to the Mission, Vision and Ethos of a Catholic School; </p><p>A willingness to work in a developing College in a fast-growing area of Australia; </p><p>Has a proven ability to work as part of a collaborative team; </p><p>Has an excellent teaching record; </p><p>Qualifications in Teaching English; </p><p>Highly developed organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills; and, </p><p>Holds or is able to gain registration from the NT Teachers Registration Board and an Ochre Card (working with Children). </p><p>Catholic Education Northern Territory requires all of its employees to abide by its policy documentation around safeguarding children and Sharer’s of the Vision.
