The Catholic Schools Office (CSO) is currently seeking a temporary part time (0.5FTE) Education Officer – Curriculum &amp; Pedagogy (K-8) to join the team from Term 2, 2024 until the end of 2025.<br>This position is located in the Manning region.&nbsp;<br><br><br>The Catholic Schools Office (CSO) is responsible for the leadership, operation and management of systemic schools which educate more than 21,000 students in 44 primary schools, 11 secondary schools, one K–12 school, one flexible learning centre and one special school in the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle.<br><br><br><head3><b><a href="https://diocesemn.azurewebsites.net/media/6287/position_description_-_cso_-_education_officer_-_curriculum_and_pedagogy.pdf" target="_blank">POSITION DESCRIPTION</a></b></head3><br><br>The Education Officer – Curriculum and Pedagogy (K-8) will:&nbsp;<br><li>Collaborate within and across the Learning and Wellbeing Team to provide expert advice in curriculum and pedagogy, across a range of KLAs, based on contemporary research, system and school data, and through professional relationships with experts and associations.&nbsp;<br></li><li>Support school leaders to prepare for the implementation of reformed syllabuses.&nbsp;<br></li><li>Advise schools on quality pedagogy matched with curriculum to collaboratively develop strategies and teaching resources to enable high quality practice that impact learning.<br></li><li>Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to evaluate the impact of support provided to schools to inform ongoing improvement.<br></li><li>Develop teacher and school leader capability in the analysis and use of assessment data to improve student learning outcomes across all Key Learning Areas.<br></li><li>Facilitate appropriate, evidence-based support to school leaders and teachers at a diocesan, network or school level to support improved learner outcomes.&nbsp;<br></li><li>Co-design and co-deliver professional learning, online and face-to-face, to strengthen evidence-based teaching practice across the curriculum areas.<br></li><li>Build the capability of school-based leaders to provide high quality support that leads to embedded and sustained high quality teaching practice and improved student outcomes, ensuring the development and use of discipline-specific literacy and numeracy knowledge and skills.<br></li>
